Manufacturing Manager Cliff Sedgley recently visited Telford College of Arts & Technology (TCAT) to present to students currently studying for their level 2 & 3 in Engineering. The presentation at the request by TCAT offered a two way discussion, with students asking questions and receiving knowledgeable industry based feedback. The primarily objective of the presentation was to provide students with a greater insight and understanding of the electrical engineering industry and whether this might be a career path they may wish to pursue.
Cliff also discussed the current Iconsys apprenticeship programme and how it provides individuals with hands on practical experience, allowing for a greater understanding of the business and the industry. The programme not only offers in-house training, but an opportunity to study one day a week at college, studying Electrical Engineering Manufacturing. At the end of the three year course they gain an industry recognised NVQ Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering qualification.
We look forward to welcoming our new batch of apprentices and helping them succeed.
