MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purpose of Role

  • Working on complete Electrical Control Systems you will provide prompt, thorough support to customers both on-site and remotely for a range of equipment including PLC, AC/DC drives, Robots and SCADA
  • You will be reporting directly to the Service Manager

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance, servicing and breakdown repairs of equipment as necessary
  • Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade work
  • Provide technical support to customers on-site and remotely
  • Participate as a member of an on-call rota for out of hours support
  • Provide a high quality service to customers, whilst delivering support in line with the Company’s philosophy
  • Undertake site audit when necessary
  • Maintain the Company’s reputation as a leading edge systems integrator
  • Comply with all relevant standards and work to the Company’s ISO9001:2015 registered quality procedures
  • Aid in the preparation of support contracts
  • Be pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting fellow engineers, training, and assisting with sales and site support
  • To maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staff

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • HNC/HND in relevant discipline
  • Previous experience in control systems  and / or industrial drives
  • Highly computer literate
  • Ability to work either individually or as part of a team
  • Working knowledge and understanding of some of the major manufacturers equipment to include PLC, drives, SCADA and systems
  • Full Driving licence – preferable clean
