We’re celebrating a Make UK Awards success!

We’re thrilled to share that we have been named Runner-Up in the Innovation category at the Make UK Awards 2025 (Midlands & East)!

While we didn’t quite take home the top spot, finishing second in such a competitive field is a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the creativity, teamwork and engineering excellence that defines #teamiconsys.

This recognition shines a light on our pioneering work developing the iConvert™ Microgrid: Smart Shore Power System, the first UK-built solution of its kind, delivered in collaboration with our amazing partners Cemex and WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group).

The system, now deployed at Cemex’s Shoreham Wharf, enables ships to plug into clean onshore power instead of running diesel engines while docked, reducing emissions, boosting energy resilience and supporting the UK’s transition to net zero.

That’s not all. Although designed for the maritime sector, the iConvert™ Microgrid is a modular, scalable solution that can bring energy efficiency and cost management benefits to UK manufacturers across a range of industries.
