iconsys celebrates 30 years

It is with a sense of achievement that this year we celebrate 30 years as a leading global drive, control and automation system integrator. Trevor Darrall, founder and current CEO, set up iconsys as an engineering service provider offering design and commissioning expertise in multi drive applications predominately to the metals industry, working out of a modest 300sq ft. converted barn in rural Shropshire.

Today, iconsys has grown to be recognised as one of the UK’s leading system integrators, operating from a modern prestigious 20,000sq ft. manufacturing facility. Over the years we have expanded our experience across a diverse range of industry sectors which has enabled us to successfully design, install and deliver complex full turnkey automation projects for some of the UK’s largest blue chip companies. We can rightly call ourselves an internationally established company as staff continue to travel to all corners of the world on a variety of differing engineering projects.

The future, we never stand still; always looking at what is new to assist all stakeholders. Our ability to successfully deliver small scale systems to large complex multiple platform solutions, by embracing advancements in technology using the latest digital developments in the horizontal power train and vertical automation and IT platforms, has stood us in good stead and ahead of the competition. We are always looking to provide the highest quality of work by investing in our employees; with the majority of our engineers holding a professionally recognised certification (IET/TUV).

Many of the values and principles set out when the company first started, still run true to this day. Our values are built on the philosophy of; superior quality, on time and to budget.
