How you invest in your employee’s well-being and development differs from organisation to organisation. Recently Iconsys undertook an “investment staff strategy” aimed at engaging employees, building a working environment that is sustainable, more creative and increase in productivity. With this in mind, three of our staff; a CAD designer and two team leaders have recently enrolled on a day release HNC Electrical Electronic course through Staffordshire University.
Nick Darrall, Iconsys Operations Director philosophy is, “You hear companies saying that if they send their staff for training they’ll just end up leaving. That’s the wrong attitude and approach to the situation, he says. “If you don’t train your staff, then they’re going to leave you.” “You are equipping your staff with new skills sets, they in turn will contribute to the business, build their knowledge and up-skill to undertake new and diverse tasks, keeping them interested, fresh and motivated.”
