British Engineering at its Best … !

BBC 2’s “Cars Live” programme hosted by James May, Kate Humble and Ant Anstead, aired 20^th & 21^st October.

The mini-series followed the latest live action from inside a major UK Automotive factory in Oxford.  Earlier in the year, Iconsys supplied the complete upgrade to the conveyors and control systems for the Paint Body Store (PBS) Plant.  The PBS is a buffer area with storage for up to 600 cars between the Paint shop and the Assembly areas.

The PBS is critical in ensuring the correct bodies are selected and put in a fixed sequence into the Final assembly area.
