Our OEM client required a high-capacity power distribution and control solution to operate a 2.1MW subsea trencher via a 1,100m umbilical.

iconsys delivered four engineered back-deck cabins:

Drive & Control Cabins – two 20ft units configured as fully integrated Drive and Control Centres, housing ABB low-harmonic variable speed drives (VSDs), soft starters and Rockwell PLC-based automation to ensure seamless control of subsea trenching operations
Transformer Cabins – purpose-built units incorporating high-voltage step-up and instrument transformers (690V–6.6kV and 440V–3.3kV) with LIM and ECM monitoring systems to provide reliable power distribution for offshore equipment
Climate Control and Redundancy – each cabin fitted with dual, air-cooled air-conditioning systems to safeguard sensitive equipment and guarantee continuous performance in demanding offshore environments
Compliance Assured – engineered, manufactured and tested to meet stringent DNV and CE standards, ensuring safety, reliability and long-term operational integrity in the marine sector
