Summary of Role

  • To ensure that the sales team are supported by assisting with the preparation of quotations, costings and specifications and supporting literature.
  • Take ownership of the company’s proposal processes.
  • Utilise the company’s costing system and develop standards for sales team to utilise.
  • Provide high quality documentation to customers using Microsoft Software tools.
  • Provide a high quality service to customers.
  • Maintain the Company’s reputation as a leading edge systems integrator.
  • Report to the Sales Director


Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of quotations & specifications, including estimating resources and costing of equipment required.
  • Managing internal sales/proposal team.
  • Develop and maintain department standards for In-house & Site activities.
  • Keeping the sales team updated with latest industry technologies.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to the sales team.
  • Utilise and manage engineering resource to support complex technical bids.
  • Attend customer sites as and when required.
  • Representing Iconsys at industry events and tradeshows in order to gain new business leads and contacts.
  • Comply with all relevant standards and work to the Company’s ISO9001:2008 registered quality procedures.
  • To comply with all Company procedures as defined in various documents including the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety Manual.
  • Be pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting fellow engineers, training, and assisting with sales and site support.
  • To maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staff.
  • Other duties as required.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Qualified to degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLCs and SCADA/HMI technologies.
  • Strong communication skills in all areas.
  • Capable of using initiative and paying close attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of prioritising.
  • Ability to work either individually or as part of a team.
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge and experience of some of the following is a requirement:
